Heavy-Duty Galvanized Metal Rabbit Cage Door Guards – Wire Edge Protectors (Pack of 4)

$6.50

Ultimate Protection That’s Built to Last

Tired of flimsy edge protectors that wear down or get chewed up over time? Upgrade your setup with our Heavy-Duty Galvanized Metal Rabbit Cage Door Guards. Engineered from premium, rust-resistant 26-gauge galvanized steel, these metal guards provide a permanent barrier over sharp, freshly cut wire edges.

Perfect for busy commercial rabbitries and backyard breeders alike, these metal guards protect your hands and your rabbits from painful scrapes and snagged fur, while completely standing up to determined chewers.

Key Features

  • 100% Chew-Proof: Unlike plastic, these 26-gauge galvanized steel guards will never be chewed, gnawed, or damaged by rabbits.

  • Smart Sizing for a Perfect Fit: Each door guard is cut 0.25 inches shorter than the stated size (e.g., a 12" guard will arrive at 11.75"). This slight clearance ensures the guards fit comfortably within your cage door opening without overlapping or binding at the corners.

  • Perfect Fit for Standard Mesh: Designed specifically to slide over and clamp tightly onto 14-gauge or 16-gauge welded wire mesh (the standard for professional rabbit cages).

  • Heavy-Duty & Rust-Resistant: Made from high-quality galvanized metal to resist rust, corrosion, and harsh rabbitry environments (inside or outside).

  • Easy to Sanitize: Non-porous metal withstands pressure washing, blowtorching, and heavy-duty disinfectants during routine cage cleanings.

  1. Dry Fit: Hold the metal guard up to your cage door opening. (Note: The guard is cut 0.25" short to allow a perfect corner fit).

  2. Slide on: Push the grooved channel of the metal guard firmly over the exposed, cut-wire edge of the door frame.

  3. Crimp to Secure: Use a pair of J-clip pliers to crimp the metal guard 3 to 4 times along the length of each piece. This locks the guard permanently onto the wire so it will never slip, slide, or fall off.
